Student-Led Conferences for MP1
Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) are Cross' alternative to a "Parent Conference" or "Report Card Night." They occur three times per year, in the middle of each marking period. SLCs empower students to take ownership of their learning and behavior in school, as they are responsible for leading their conference and presenting their work to a teacher ("SLC coach") and family member(s). Students present their academic and intellectual progress as well as discuss other goals they have--including social, physical, emotional, and college/career goals.
